Belt conveyor is used to transport large rolls when the rolls are core horizontal or core vertical. Belt conveyor comes in two standards either belt running on low friction surface when handling lighter loads or belt running on free running rollers. When handling rolls core horizontal the rollers would be set as a V to keep the rolls central on the conveyor. For smaller reels, a 2 belt 'V' conveyor cradles the reels and allows for a smooth transfer across conveyor sections. This 'V' arrangement can also be used for side transfer applications by tilting the deck. When transferring rolls end to end onto another piece of conveyor the diameter to width ratio must not exceed 3:1 (narrow slits please consult head office)
(note ; not suitable for very heavy rolls or long single lengths
