Manual Reel Wrapping |
Reels are produced by the winder and unloaded by the
turret tree to the first conveyor. The operator manually runs the
conveyors to separate the reels and transfer one at a time to the
wrapper. Roller extend to lift the reel from the conveyor and allow
rotation. The reel is hand wrapped before being discharged down a
ramp into the up-ender. There it is rotated onto its flat surface and
then accumulated on the next conveyor. As reels reach the far end, they
enter the rotation conveyor and turn the corner. Finally the reels
accumulate on the unloading conveyor where the operator uses the jib
crane to remove the reels and stack on a pallet.
