Here, the reels remain on a fixed table while the extractor pulls the shaft from the reels. The shaft is supported by popup rollers. There are 2 variants : 1.The extractor can be a fixed height, with the table raising / lowering to locate the shaft drive collar 2. The table is a fixed height and the extractor raises / lowers to locate on the shaft drive collar. |

Here an overhead crane loads the new re-cored shaft into the winder. Once the product run has completed, the same crane removes the shaft and delivers it to the extractor |
