Reel Storage & Collation |

Reel Grouping |

Reels from the previous section are grouped together. This is usually via a database telling which reels should be grouped together. This is to create a set of reels for a pallet. |

Reel Storage Racks |
|
 |
Grouped reels can stored in racks until enough reels are available to complete the set. A pick and place robot takes care of loading and unloading the racks |

Reel Transportation |
|
 |
The robot is responsible for moving reels to and from the racks. It will take a group of reels to the racks if the following reel is not matched to the current group. It will retrieve a group of reels from the racks if a set of reels can be completed. |

Reel Palletising |

The completed set of reels is transported to an up-ender where a pallet is waiting. The up-ender rotates so that the pallet can be driven along a set of conveyors to the unloading location. |
