SCM has made further inroads into the brewery industry with a new order for a Robotic Cask Handling system for a major UK brewer.

Following successful installations at Thatchers Cider and Greene King Brewery, SCM were the obvious choice for the customer who required a system to automatically un-stack empty casks once they have been delivered to its cask line. As well as unstacking the empty casks, the system was also required to un-stack two separate variants of locator boards onto which the casks will be stacked. The system should also then be capable of re-stacking the full casks once they have been filled (automatically placing a locator board between each layer).

All of the equipment SCM offered to the customer is tried and tested and in a production environment.

We look forward to working with this new customer on this exciting new project with delivery and installation of the equipment scheduled for June 2017.
